Koonjewarre , a term used by the Kombumerri clan of the indigenous Yugambeh people translates to "Meeting place on high ground..." perfectly describing this unique accommodation centre or camp in the high country of Springbrook. The lake is a wonderful natural habitat for birds and frogs. It is ideal for canoeing or contemplation. Each gender will have separate accommodation

ACTIVITY. A variety of dedicated playing fields are laid out so that they can all be used simultaneously if necessary. The fields include soccer field, badminton, basketball dunk court, 16 hole mini golf course and cricket pitch. The campfire are always a popular.

INSPIRATION. Amongst the nature and the activities, you will be given the opportunity to make a difference. First, guest speakers Zachariah Matthew of Sydney, Dave Andrew of Brisbane and local Imams will inspire you with their wisdom and workshops. Secondly, you will be given the opportunity to design a real project for implementation. The best project will be given financial assistance.
