Her education background is a BSc in IT and she has spent 13 years working in the IT industry including working in Singapore. She has been a Muslim for 14 years, and am married with 4 children. Her family arrived in Australia in the 1830's so she was a 7th generation Australian. She is the only member of her family to embrace Islam.
"I embraced Islam in 1995. I was very blessed by Allah the All-Mighty to have met a Muslim who showed me a video that changed my life. The video was about the embryology in the Quran by Keith Moore. Being from a scientific background I was skeptical and wanted to see for myself. How could a book written 14 centuries ago have this kind of information? To my dismay the Quran didn't come with a scientific index to look these verses up. There was only one solution, I had to start from the beginning and read it all! At some point it was clear to me that this was the answer, and I had to become a Muslim, Alhamdullilah.
In recent years I have been very blessed with the opportunity to learn from some very good scholars via the internet. The 2 most valuable lessons I have learnt were: 1. That the more you know the more you realize how much you don't know. 2. How to say "I don't know". -Kathryn Jones |
