Grant from the Department of FAHCSIA

The shure of FAMSY Victoria is pleased to inform you that our organisation has received a Volunteers Funding Grant from the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

We extend our gratitude to the department, and to The Hon Jenny Macklin MP Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and Senator the Hon Ursula Stephens Parliamentary Secretary for Social Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector for their continued support and encouragement to the important role that not-for-profit organisations play within society.

The grant is important for our organisation to supplement our educational activities and workshops which we provide for our members and the community. The grant will be used to purchase a projector and screen. The projector will also be utilised in the Believe-Achieve-Inspire Leadership program which has recently won the award 'Australian Muslim Best Community Project 2009'.
