When he uses the term "Inevitability" he is quick to point out that he does not mean it has to happen, since that would not only be attacking belief, but also attacking the unknown, even science itself. The twentieth century, let alone the twenty first, recognizes probabilities more than inevitabilities. When the term "Inevitability" is used, it expresses what should happen, or what the nature of issues and events indicate that it must happen.

Those who adopt the principle of historical inevitability and call for inevitability of evolution do not wait until evolution comes. They work hard and struggle, using every available means and resources, legal or illegal, to achieve their goals. In so doing, however, they contradict themselves by using the term "inevitability". If they believed that evolution is inevitable, why don’t they spare themselves the effort and wait for the "inevitable" evolution?

When we use that term, we mean that all circumstances, events, and conditions in the Arab countries in particular and in Muslim countries in general, make it inevitable to move towards the Islamic solution. This is so valid particularly after all imported solutions failed, after all man-made systems are in chaos, after all principles, liberal and social, brought nothing but crisis, misery and deterioration. The change to an Islamic solution, in that sense, became inevitable.

That was what the Arab masses of believers felt and called for after the June 1967 disaster, when the Zionists defeated our armies, occupied our lands, and humiliated our people. Those Arab masses of believers screamed that there is no solution or remedy except by going back to Islam.

Few would disagree that our political goals in the Arabian area, for instance, are still unfulfilled and even are further away than ever before. Hope in Arab unity is weaker as a result of the ideological differences between followers of the right and followers of the left. The differences would be removed only by removing these imported ideas, left and right.

Political freedom in the Arab world is in deep crisis, whether in countries adopting the constitutional democratic form or those adopting the socialist revolutionary form. Economic development and welfare are as hopeless. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is widening. All what happened is that a worse opportunistic class has inherited an old affluent class. The masses are not fed from hunger nor secured from fear.

Talking about our other diseases of confusion, corruption, decadence, family breakdowns, and disintegrating societies shows an even worse picture. All these dark results make it even more compulsory and more urgent, hence more inevitable, to move to Islam to solve the problems of our life and to fulfil our major goals. We have had enough time lost and enough artificial cures failed!

If we were "Arabs", this solution is the best to fit our national dignity, because it is the solution emanating from our belief, our heritage, and our land!

If we were "Muslims", this is the solution to fit our Islam and our belief. We would not achieve Islam or belief without going back to the Islamic solution and consistently holding on to it, it brings the success in this world and in the Hereafter.

If we were rational humans, accepting and rejecting by our own brains, and according to our own interests, this is the solution that independent reason leads to it. This is the purely logical solution that has never been tried in our countries in current times. This solution must be given a chance, like other ways and means, to rule, guide and dominate. It goes without saying that this is the solution that our nation has tried before and led to the best results for centuries.

If we believe in political democracy and rule of the majority, our masses never stopped their faith in the justice of the rulings of its Lord, never abandoned its Quran and its Muhammad (s), and never doubted the glory of its Islam. Every single day increases its belief in the eternity of this just and Divine system, and its feeling of the necessity and urgency to go back to it.

If we believe in the logic of events and the path of history, anyone reading the existing conflict in Arab and Muslim countries, and following the factors that dictate events and make history can confirm that the next phase is not to the left or to the right, not to the revolutionists or the conservatives calling for subordination to the east or the west. The next phase is for true, integrated, comprehensive, and pure unpolluted Islam.

A person reading the current conflict in the world, the spiritual and psychological crisis the world is going through, the social disorder it fell victim to, the ethical decadence it collapsed under, would be guided to the fact that Islam must be the trend to dominate the world. The West became bankrupt in its leadership, and unable to carry the trust.

The whole world today needs a new message carrying new civilisation, one that is international, humane, ethical, and Divine. A civilisation that joins faith and science, mixing the material with the spiritual, reconciling between the freedom of the individual and the interest of the society.

There is no one in the West that can carry that message, and fulfil that trust, neither in the capitalist camp, nor in the socialist camp, both being two branches of the same tree, the tree cursed in Quran and all revealed books, the evil tree of materialism.

The owner of that needed civilisation, and that promised message is Islam. The Islam that produced the best nation ever brought out to mankind, the Islam that made the most ideal civilisation known in history.

The thing that we miss, and that the whole mankind miss with us, is the existence of a "nation" living Islam and representing it, adopting Islam as a way of life, and offering Islam to the world the message of guidance and salvation.

The time has come for the Arab and Muslim people to liberate itself from subordination to west and east, to reject every intruding way, to implement from true Islam a solution to its problems and a constitution to its life. The alarm has been raised, and deterrent news and events have reached the Arab and Muslim people.

The time has come for the rulers and leaders of those people, and for those in charge among them, to realise this great fact, to uphold moral courage, and to declare it loud and clear: We are not slaves of the right or the left, we are not tails wagged by capitalism or socialism, we are not subordinates to east or west. We are Muslims, period. We are satisfied only with Islam as faith, system, and link.

In this way those rulers and leaders and those in charge would link the present of this nation with its past, remove the conflict between the reality of this nation and its conscience and faith. This way they would deserve approval of their Lord, greetings from their people, and admiration of the whole world. They would win the best of this world and the Hereafter.
